図書館では、紙の図書や雑誌のほか、インターネット上で利用可能な電子ブックや電子ジャーナル、データベースなどの電子リソースも提供しています。
電子リソースは、学内外から 24 時間いつでもどこでも利用可能です。学外からは、「学認」と呼ばれる機能や、情報基盤統括センターが提供する「VPN 接続」を利用することで、アクセスできます。
電子リソースの利用については、出版社との契約において守らなければならない事項が定められています。必ず「電子ジャーナルの適正な利用について」をご確認ください。

電子リソースの検索は以下のツールから行うことができます。

• 電子リソースポータル：琉球大学で契約している電子ブックや電子ジャーナル、無料で読めるリソースの検索が可能です。

    電子リソースポータルの利用方法

• データベース：琉球大学で契約しているデータベースや、インターネット上の無料で利用できる便利なツールをカテゴリー別まとめています。

• 蔵書検索（OPAC）：OPACで琉球大学で契約している電子ブックの検索が可能です。検索結果一覧画面で「資料種別」を「電子ブック」をクリックすることで、電子ブックのみの検索結果一覧を見ることができます。

エルゼビア社・Nature関連雑誌　論文利用時の注意

●エルゼビア社の論文利用方法について

エルゼビア社の論文を利用する際は以下の点にご注意ください。

エルゼビア社発行の雑誌は、一部のジャーナルに収録されている論文を除き、論文1件ごとに大学が購入している権利（論文を一つダウンロードするごとに消費されるチケットのようなもの）を消費して利用します。
エルゼビア社の論文を利用する際は、各種データベース等から必要な論文を検索し、電子リソースポータルで代替手段がないか確認してから出版社のサイトで論文を入手することになります。
論文単位で利用できる権利の数に限りがありますので、重複ダウンロードを避け、適正な利用にご協力をお願いします。

●Nature関連雑誌の論文利用方法について

　琉球大学ではNature Content on Demand(以下：NatureCOD)を提供しています。

　NatureCODは、Nature関連誌を論文単位でダウンロードできるサービスです。対象となるNature関連誌の一覧は以下のリンクより確認いただけます。

※Nature本誌（1950以降～最新号）は購読しており、Nature CODとは関係なく利用可能です。また、Scientific Americanなど一部NatureCODの対象となっていないタイトルもあります。

　NatureCOD対象の論文にアクセスした場合、以下のようなメッセージが表示されます。「Access full article」をクリックすると本文を利用することが出来ます。

　Nature CODは、大学があらかじめ一定の件数のチケットを購入しておき、大学のネットワークから利用された場合、自動的にチケットが消費される仕組みとなっています。そのため、利用者個人での負担が発生することはありません。

　ただし、年間で購入するチケット数は決まっています。購入したチケットを超過した場合、大学全体で、Nature関連誌へアクセスが出来なくなります。同一論文であっても、12時間以上経過した後に再アクセスした場合は、その都度チケットが消費されます。ダウンロードしたPDFは手元に保管しておくなど、効率的にNature CODが活用できるようご協力をお願いします。また、データベースAcademic OneFileでは2021年以前のNature関連誌の論文が多数収録されています。あわせてご活用ください。

学外からの利用方法

●学認を利用する

学認（GakuNin）とは、全国の学術機関や出版社等が連携して作り上げている認証システムのことです。対象サービスは学認を利用することで、学外からも利用可能です。

【対象サービス】

• CiNii Research / CiNii Books(図書・雑誌・論文のデータベース)
• 電子ジャーナル（Science Direct, Springer Link, Wiley-Online Library 等）
• EBSCO host（ERIC等の文献情報データベース）
• Web of Science（文献情報データベース）
• Japan Knowledge（辞書・事典サイト）
• Maruzen eBook Library（電子ブック配信サービス）

【利用方法】例：Japan Knowledge

1.Japan Knowledgeへアクセスします。「ログインする」をクリックします。

2.「学認認証（シボレス）でのご利用はこちら」をクリックします。

3.所属する機関（IDP）で「琉球大学」を選択します。

4.認証画面が表示されます。情報基盤統括センターのメールアドレス（「@cs.u-ryukyu.ac.jp」と「@acs.u-ryukyu.ac.jp」のメールアドレスは除く）とパスワードを入力してください。（初回ログイン時に英語の画面が表示されますが、Japan Knowledge Libに琉球大学所属という情報を提供しても良いか、次回以降も確認が必要かを問うものです。確認して「Accept」をクリックしてください。）

5.認証に成功するとJapan Knowledgeのトップ画面にアクセスできます。
※他のデータベースについても、学認での認証方法は同様で、「所属機関（琉球大学）の選択」→「情報基盤統括センターのメールアドレス・パスワード入力」という流れは共通しています。

●VPN接続を利用する

VPN接続とは、大学が契約しているデータベースなど学内限定のサービスを、大学の外からでも利用できるサービスです。

【利用手順】

　1.専用ソフトウェアのダウンロード・インストール　
 情報基盤統括センターの<SSL-VPN接続(Fortigate)について>を参考に、お使いの端末に合わせてソフトウェアのダウンロード・インストールを行います。

　2.学内限定サービスを利用する
VPN接続中は、大学が契約しているデータベースなど、学内限定のサービスが利用できます。

●Google Scholarを利用する

Google Scholarを使用することで、Springer NatureやElsevierなどの一部の電子リソースについては、一度学内からアクセスすると学外からもアクセスすることができるようになります。

【利用手順】

1. 学内ネットワーク（学内に設置されているPCまたは学内の無線LANに繋いだ状態）からGoogle Scholarへアクセスし、一度文献検索を行います。その際、Googleがご自身の端末と所属機関の紐づけを行います。
2. 同じ端末を用いて、学外からGoogle Scholarへアクセスすると、図書館が購読している電子ジャーナルなどにアクセスできるようになります。
3. Googleアカウントにログインする必要はありませんが、1.の手順の際にご自身のGoogleアカウントにログインしていれば、Googleアカウントと所属機関の紐づけが行われます。以降、Googleアカウントにログインした状態でGoogle Scholarへアクセスすると、どの端末からでも学外から図書館の購読している電子ジャーナル等へアクセスできます。

学内ネットワークからGoogle Scholarへアクセスした後、30日間が有効期間となります。

※一部対応していない出版社もございます。

電子ジャーナルの適正な利用について

電子ジャーナルの利用については、出版社との契約において守らなければならない事項が定められています。利用の際は以下の内容にご注意ください。

• 読む論文だけを1件ずつダウンロードし、機械的なダウンロードは行わない。
• 本文を読めないようなタイミングで次々に画面を開かない。

意図的でなくても不正アクセスと判断される場合があります。不正アクセスと判断された場合は、大学全体からのアクセス遮断などの措置が取られることがあります。適正な利用へのご協力をお願いします。

 

In addition to printed books and journals, the library has electronic resources available on the Internet, such as e-books, e-journals, and databases.
Electronic resources are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, anywhere on or off campus. Off-campus access is available through a function called " GakuNin system", or a "VPN connection" provided by the Information Technology Center.
There are certain rules that must be followed regarding the use of electronic resources.Please be sure to read "Appropriate Use of Electronic Journals".

Electronic resources can be searched through the following tools:

• e-Resource Portal：You can search for e-books, e-journals subscribed to by the University of the Ryukyus, and free reading resource.
• Database：Databases subscribed to by the University and useful tools available for free on the Internet are listed by category.
• Library Catalog(OPAC)： You can search e-books subscribed by the University through OPAC. Click "eBook" in "Format" on the search results list screen to see the list of search results for e-books only.

How to use from off-campus

●GakuNin system

GakuNin is an authentication system created in cooperation with academic institutions and publishers throughout Japan. You can use eligible services shown below from off-campus by using this system.

• CiNii Articles / CiNii Books (database of books, journals, articles)
• e-Journals (Science Direct, Springer Link, Wiley-Online Library, etc.)
• EBSCO host (bibliographic databases such as ERIC）
• Web of Science (bibliographic database）
• Japan Knowledge (dictionary and encyclopedia website）
• Maruzen eBook Library (e-book service）

●VPN connection

A VPN (Virtual Private Network) connection allows you to use databases that the university has agreements with, and other on-campus limited services from off-campus. a

【How to connect】

　1. Download and install software　
      Refer to the Information Technology Center’s installation manual<SSL-VPN接続(Fortigate)について>. Download and install the software for your device.

　2.Using on-campus limited services
      You can use databases that the university has agreements with, and other on-campus limited  services while you are using a VPN connection.

●Google Scholar

By Google Scholar, some e-resources, such as Springer Nature and Elsevier, can be accessed from off-campus once you access them from within the university.

【How to use Google Scholar】

 Access Google Scholar using a network from on-campus (from a computer or wireless LAN on campus) and perform a bibliographic search, at which point Google will link your device to the university.
If you access Google Scholar off-campus using the same device, you will be able to access e-journals and other materials that the library is subscribed to.
It is not necessary to sign in to your Google account, but if you sign in to your Google account in step 1, your Google account will be linked to the university. Once the link has been made and you access Google Scholar while you are signed in, you can access e-journals and other materials that the library is subscribed to from any device off-campus.

Google Scholar will be valid for 30 days after you access it from the network on-campus.

How to read journal articles on ScienceDirect, Nature and the Nature research journals

●Elsevier ScienceDirect

With the exception of articles included in some journals, journals published by Elsevier can be read by transactional access (prepaid pay-per-view service).
When using an Elsevier article, you are supposed to search for the article you need from various databases and check the e-Resource Portal for alternatives before obtaining the article from the publisher's website.
Since the number of rights available per paper is limited, we ask for your cooperation in avoiding duplicate downloads and using the paper appropriately.

●Nature and the Nature research journals

Individual journal articles on Nature and the Nature research journals can be read by transactional access (pay-per-view prepaid service).

Please avoid duplicate downloads and be sure to use the service properly.

※The library has a subscription agreement with Nature since 1987, so download restrictions do not apply.

Appropriate Use of Electronic Journals

Based on the agreements with the publishing companies, you must observe the following points when using e-journals.
• Download the article you want to read, once at a time. Automated downloading is prohibited.
• Do not open a series of files at once as it is considered automated downloading.

Even if it is unintentional, such actions may be determined as unauthorized access, in which case you may be blocked from all access to the university. Please be sure to use e-journals properly.
