In this view we are supposed to be in an aeroplane sailing over the Pacific Ocean and to be looking down upon what we call the "Far East". The land pointing to the center of the Loo Choo group which is seen to form the connection between the islands of the Kiushu and Formosa.
The principal city of the islands is Naha, which has a population of about fifty-five thousand.
この視点は、我々が飛行機に乗って太平洋上を航行し、「極東」と呼ばれる地域を見下ろしているという想定です。手が指し示しているのは琉球列島の中央で、これらの島々が九州と台湾との間をつないでいるのが見られます。
列島の主要都市は那覇で、約5万5千人の人口を抱えています。
